How can I join the club?

If you have never done archery before you will need to go on a beginners course.

If you have done archery in the past (at a different club for example) you will have to prove that you have completed a beginners course by providing a copy of the certificate or prove you have experience in archery by providing a Archery GB / G.N.A.S. membership number.

Field archers would need to provide affiliation to a governing body and then complete a refresher course to bring you up to speed with target archery.

What times do you shoot?

The club meet 3 times a week for shooting sessions (totalling 11 hours per week):

What's this 252 scheme that people are talking about?

The 252 scheme is open to all archers of all abilities and bow types and is a system that is used to encourage improvement in your archery skills, the scheme is being used by a number of archery clubs in the UK. Starting at 20 yards you have 3 dozen arrows to reach a specific score (usually 252) before moving onto the next distance. For more info visit the 252 information page.
